About This Class

Ever wondered what it feels like to dance to live music... on a regular basis?

Find out what it is like to be a Project Band belly dancer under the instruction of internationally renowned belly dance instructor, Karen Barbee.

Each Fall, Karen's local and remote students begin their journey to develop their improvisational experience with classes as well as numerous appearances with live bands throughout the year -- culminating in her annual "Give Belly Dance a Chance" live band performance weekend.

We've pulled together a sampler pack of videos that gives you a sense of the experience, familiarizes you with the curriculum, and may even inspire you to be a part of our 2019-2020 class.
